Macao Convention & Exhibition Association (MCEA) was established in October 2002. The purpose of MCEA is “To serve, represent, coordinate and communicate”. MCEA makes great efforts to unite and develop the exhibition industry in Macau. MCEA follows the Macao SAR government's administration guideline to improve the situation of insufficient facilities and lack of manpower of Macao 's convention and exhibition industry. MCEA aims to build Macao into an international MICE destination.

Since its establishment in 2002, MCEA has organized and co-organized various kinds of events and exhibitions such as the biggest UFI-approved annual trade show - Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF). MCEA has accomplished the Research Report On Strategic Development of Convention and Exhibition Industry in Macau . Furthermore, MCEA has initiated education and training to raise professionalism. In the meantime, MCEA has participated in kinds of forums and promotion activities, and has cooperated with MICE institutes and organizations both in Macao and overseas. MCEA is laying a solid foundation for the fast development of convention and exhibition industry in Macao.

MCEA boasts its 82 members of which 40% are international organizers and service provides and 11 are listed firms.

As Macao is now stepping towards the age of diversification in industrial growth, and as the blueprint of Asia 's Las Vegas now is becoming a reality, today is the Spring for Macao 's MICE Industry.
